Sophie Delaunay

TIC Director, Transformational Investment Capacity (TIC), MSF

Sophie has 30 years of experience in the humanitarian health sector, managing programs for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Thailand, Rwanda, China and both North and South Korea. She has conducted field assessments in numerous countries, including the Central African Republic, China, Darfur, Haiti, Lebanon, Liberia, Pakistan, and Syria. From 2005 to 2008 she served as the Director of Programs at ESTHER, a French government HIV/AIDS agency (now Expertise France), overseeing scientific cooperation initiatives in 18 countries. Sophie then became the Executive Director of MSF in the United States, a position she held until 2015 when she was appointed interim Executive Director of MSF Access Campaign. Since 2017, she has worked as an independent consultant for MSF and various Global Health Organizations including UNITAID, ISARIC or, IFRC, focusing on Strategic Planning, policy making, governance reviews, and landscaping analyses.
Sophie holds a Master’s degree in International Business from the University of Le Havre in France, a Master’s degree in Political Science from Yonsei University in Korea, and a post-graduate certificate in public administration.
